CEFTINA

• COMPOSITION
  Each ml contains:
  Ceftiofur (as hydrochloride) - 50 mg

  INDICATION
  For the treatment of respiratory disease, foot rot, and acute post-partum metritis in cattle caused by susceptible bacteria, and for respiratory disease in pigs caused by susceptible bacteria.

  DOSAGE
  Shake well before use
  Intramuscular (IM) and Subcutaenous (SC) use
  Cattle: Subcutaneous administration.
  Respiratory disease: 1 ml/50 kg/day for 3–5 days
  Foot rot: 1 ml/50 kg/day for 3 days
  Post-partum metritis (≤10 days after calving): 1 ml/50 kg/day for 5 days; supportive therapy may be required
  Pigs: 1 ml/16 kg/day for 3 days, IM administration.

  WITHDRAWAL PERIODS
  For meat and offal: 
  Cattle: 8 days
  Pigs: 5 days
  For milk: zero hours

  CONTRAINDICATION
  Do not use intravenously.
  Do not use where resistance to other cephalosporins or beta-lactam antibiotics has occured.
